Institutional Background<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nSEDO (Social and Environmental Development Organization) is a nonprofit, nonpolitical organization founded in 2010 by Somali intellectuals focused on social progress and environmental conservation. Based in Bossaso, Puntland, SEDO addresses piracy prevention, alternative livelihood creation, and environmental conservation. It aims to improve government service delivery and foster partnerships between government, the private sector, and civil society to promote peace, recovery, and development in Somalia. The organization also tackles challenges like environmental degradation and unsustainable fishing practices in Puntland. SEDO will implement project on Capacity strengthening of Local Farmers in Bari and Nugaal Region. Thus SEDO seeks qualified and experienced applicants for the following positions:<\/p>\r\n
Agronomist (Two Positions)<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n- Qualification: Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in agricultural project coordination or related tasks.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
- Duties: Implementation, coordination, reporting, supervision, and other tasks as assigned by the line Manager.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
- Skills: Expertise in agronomy, report writing, and computer applications.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
- Duty Station: Bossaso\/Garowe, with the possibility to travel throughout Puntland.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
- Reporting to: Program Coordinator<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n
Field Officers (two Positions)<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n- Qualification: Diploma\/Degree for management\/ Project Management\/Agrinomy or related field.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
- Experience: 2 to 3 years of experience on supervision.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
- Duties: Supervision, coordination, reporting and other tasks assigned by the line Manager<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
- Skills: Report writing skills and computer applications.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
- Duty Station: Bosaso\/Garowe with to travel entire Puntland.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
- Reporting to: Line Manager<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n
Gender Officer (One position)<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n- Qualification: Diploma\/ Degree in Gender Studies, Social Science, Project Management, or a related field<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
- Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience on Gender.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
- Duties: Gender analysis, Support Services, coordination, and reporting.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
- Skills: Expertise in gender analysis, report writing, and proficiency in computer applications.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
- Duty Station: Garowe with possibility of Travel.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
- Reporting to: Program Coordinator<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n
Agri-Business Officer<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n- Qualification: Degree in Agriculture, Agro-Business, Project Management, or a related field.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
- Experience: 3 to 4 years of experience on Agro-Business Management & Project Management.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
- Duties: Business Development, technical support, Market Analysis, Training, and Reporting<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
- Skills: Expertise in agro-business management, report writing, and computer applications.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
- Duty Station: Bosaso<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
