Social and Environmental Development Organization is a non-profit, non-political, and nonpartisan organization established in 2010. Founded by Somali intellectuals committed to environmental conservation and community service, SEDO operates across Somalia, with a primary focus on Puntland. The organization aims to enhance social progress by addressing social challenges, promoting peace, and fostering collaboration among government institutions, the private sector, and civil society. SEDO\u2019s efforts also include environmental conservation and livelihood improvement, particularly in response to issues like flooding, drought, and overfishing.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

2. Project Overview<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The Multilateral Fund KOBCIYE project is designed with a focus on food systems in Somalia, aiming to improve food security and nutrition for smallholder low-income farms in the Puntland, by strengthening their resilience to environmental shocks. The project specifically targets smallholder farmers in the Bari Region, with objectives to enhance production capacity, improve household consumption of nutritious foods, increase commercialization, and diversify livelihoods for better income security.

Eligibility Criteria:<\/strong> SEDO invites experienced and qualified companies<\/strong> specializing in gabion construction to submit their proposals. The company must:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

  • Have proven experience in similar agricultural or environmental projects.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
  • Comply with relevant local and international and environmental standards.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
  • Have a valid registration from the relevant authorities.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
