SEDO supports both formal, nonformal and ABE education system. The provision of education is based on the basic rights of access to quality education as espoused in Puntland commitment to quality provision of quality educations through several development milestones vide Education Sector Support Strategy documents include Education decentralization Policy as well as the NDP of the FGS, 2020 – 2024. SEDO also believes that quality education is a human rights mandate and the most common way of promoting equality and equity and supporting the upwards individual’s social mobility.
Therefore, SEDO supports the boarding scope of formal and non-formal education approach to basic education rights providing skills and knowledge to the children, youth and women, with special focus on girls and women to improve their living conditions and their morale and boost self-esteem. Provision of education to mothers especially on the resilience nutrition programs and other important sanitation, hygiene and maternal skills.
