The Social and Environmental Development Organization (SEDO) is governed by the SEDO Executive Board, which consists of 8 Members and provides support, direction and supervision of activities.

SEDO is headed by an Executive Director, who is appointed by the Executive Board at their regular assembly meetings.  The Executive Director is appointed for fixed five-year terms and is responsible for the administration of SEDO as well as the implementation of its programs, projects and other activities. Since November 2024, the post has been held by Muhyadin Mohamed.

SEDO also has one Deputy Executive Director and three managerial roles in the departments of the organization.
