Social and Environmental Development Organization

SEDO promotes peaceful, inclusive, and accountable societies by strengthening democratic governance, civic participation, social cohesion, and conflict resolution mechanisms. We believe sustainable development can only be achieved where communities live in peace, institutions are responsive, and citizens actively participate in decision-making processes.

Our programs support local governance systems, civic engagement, community dialogue, peacebuilding initiatives, and democratic participation. We work with government institutions, traditional leaders, civil society organizations, women, and youth to foster trust, strengthen accountability, and build resilient communities capable of resolving conflicts peacefully.

Our Approach

Across all our programming areas, SEDO applies a community-centered, gender-responsive, and climate-resilient approach that empowers local communities to lead their own development.
